Unikkatil (born Viktor Palokaj, March 18, 1981; also known as Rebel) is a Kosovar Albanian rapper, entertainer, and record producer from The Bronx, New York, originally from Pristina, Kosovo. His music career began in 2004 although, in his own words, partnered with one of the best Albanian producers Skeezy (living in Brussels, Belgium) he did not take it seriously until he moved to The United States. After he moved to The Bronx, New York, he became a member of A.B.I. (Albanian Boys Incorporated) and later started the Albanian Rap Group known as T.B.A. (The Bloody Alboz; Albanian: Shqipet E Pergjakshme), with the help of: Z.E.F. and Milot, under the Conqueror Records label. Shortly after other rappers such as Tee, Klepto, Presioni, Jeton & Alboholics also joined T.B.A.. Unikkatil still continues to represent A.B.I. although his primary focus has been his music with T.B.A..Unikkatil has released four albums so far, the first one being "Shihemi N'Perkujtime", released in 2004, the second one was "Unikkatil presents The Bloody Alboz" released in 2005, the third album was "Armiq't Suprem" released in 2006, and fourth was "Kanuni I Katilit" released in 2007. His latest album was announced to have sold over 13,000 copies  in the first week alone, and over 40,000 in the first month. This was a huge success for Unikkatil, as well as Kosovar Albanian hip hop. He has also produced Presioni's début album "Nentori i Trete" and a few songs from CyaNide's début album. Despite releasing four albums, many other songs were released for free under no known albums. His latest event in Frauenfeld, Switzerland in 2009 holds the record for the biggest event ever held by an Albanian artist in Switzerland, with close to 5,000 people being present. Unikkatil's biggest concert of his career, as well as one of the biggest rap events in the Balkans, took place on July 15, 2012 at Pristina Stadium, 25,000 people were present, cheering for "King Of Albanian Rap".

Albanian Hip Hop refers to artists from Albania, Kosovo, the Republic of Macedonia and Montenegro as the Albanian language is spoken in the whole of Albania and Kosovo and it also spoken in some parts of Macedonia and Montenegro. The term Albanian Hip Hop also refers to other Albanian-inhabited places such as the United States, Germany andUnited Kingdom. Since 2012, a team of French peoples try to help hip hop culture in Albania. They created the first Albanian hip hop festival, which is performed in Tirane, Elbasan, Shkodra and Korça.

2Die4 was the first legendary group who brought Modern Rap in Albania.The group is formed by 4 guys from the city of Fier. But the first rap group ever made in Albania is Banda Butuesi formed by 99ci,DMC aka Babloki and other guys from the Northern town of Albania,Bajram Curri. Other old school famous Albanian rappers are Mr Elvis, Rudi, West Side Family, Vagabondi, etc.

While in Kosovo rap was found in the 90's by such rappers like Getoar Selimi, 2Po2, Unikkatil, Presioni, Ritmi Rruges, Duda, etc.

Now days mostly known are rap labels. The most successful rap label is TBA (The Bloody Alboz) formed by Rappers from Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia mostly of them living in the USA. Other successful Labels are OTR (On Top Of The Rest), GG Army (Double G), Babastars, and P.I.N.T, etc.

The most young and talented rappers are Elinel and Buta.
